Our initial impression about Portland was not positive, but visiting the shopping district and the Pearl District changed our mind - the city is lovely and alive.
The sun dispersed the clouds magically on our final day at the park. We were lucky to see many faces of the majestic Mt. Rainier.
It's nice day for hiking but difficult for photography. At the end of the day, nothing beat the feeling of sitting in the cozy lodge, watching the gloomy weather outside and having a cold beer after a long walk.
We went to Mt. Rainier with the expectation to see blooming wildflowers against the majestic mountains, but we only had a glimpse of the mountain before the clouds swallowed in everything.
Although the tribe visit might be staged, we got a chance to know how Tanzanians live in the rural area near Lake Eyasi.
At Lake Manyara, I finally corrected my misunderstanding about East African Rift Valley - there is no valley, but more like a long cliff.
Passing by Big Sur many times, we finally had a chance to stopped by several Big Sur's most famous landmarks during our stay in Carmel.
Going to Carmel is certainly not as exotic as our other trips, but it's also much easier and cozier.
