    We checked into the InterContinental Hotel in the morning. The hotel is located at the pivot point of the city – all major attractions are within walking distance.

    Opened in 1916, Taronga Zoo hosts many animals of the southern hemisphere that are not easily seen elsewhere.

    The city center has good shopping districts, but the facilities are somewhat outdated.

    The sky finally cleared up so we could take some photos we have to take.

    We took the Essential Tour to get into the Opera House in the morning and then went to Blue Mountain national park by the train.

    I had a walk in the Royal Botanic Garden in the morning before we left Sydney. We should have stayed one more day to watch the world-famous NYE fireworks.
